In concept, laminate veneers are similar to false fingernails. A
very thin layer of plastic or porcelain is bonded to the outside
surface of the teeth to improve appearance. In many cases, some
tooth enamel must be removed, but this rarely causes any problems
for healthy teeth.
Laminate veneers usually require more than one visit to the
dentist. They last several years and may have better color stability
and strength than conventional bonding. Laminate veneers are a
